  • What chain styles do you offer?
    We offer over 20 chain options and variety of connectors for you to customize your piece. To see what chains we currently have, check out Heirloom Jewelry Bar on Instagram.
  • Does getting permanent jewelry hurt?
    Nope! The process is completely painless. We only ask that you wear welding glasses to protect your eyes if you plan to watch us weld, if not you can simply look away.
  • How long will my jewelry piece last?
    Your permanent jewelry can last weeks, months, years - as long as you want! Keep in mind, while bonded Permanent Jewelry is meant for everyday wear, it is still fine jewelry and not invincible.
  • What materials are used for permanent jewelry?
    We only offer 14k Gold Filled and Sterling Silver chains and connectors.
  • Do you offer 14k white and yellow gold chains?
    Yes, if you are looking for 14k white or yellow gold chains we are happy to work with you to select and source chain for your jewelry. We collect a deposit on your chain prior to ordering in materials. Message us if you have any questions.
  • Do you offer clasps?
    No ready to commit? No problem! We also offer gold filled and sterling silver clasps so your jewelry piece can be removed. There is an additional charge of $5 for clasps.
  • What if my chain breaks?
    If your chain breaks and you still have the chain, you can always come see us at an event and we will do our best to repair/reconnect the chain for you. However, if your chain breaks and is lost we cannot offer a replacement.
  • What is your reweld policy?
    We will reweld and/or resize our chains and chains from other permanent jewelers for a $10 fee.
  • What if I need to remove my jewelry?
    You can simply cut the jump ring used to weld the chain together with a nail clipper or sharp scissors. Save it all in a safe place to be re-welded at one of our future events.
  • Can I wear my jewelry through the airport and/or medical procedures?
    Permanent Jewelry is TSA approved! As for medical procedures, we recommend that you speak with your doctor and ask if you will need to remove your permanent jewelry during your X-ray or MRI appointment. Many of our clients have not been required to remove their permanent jewelry, but that is up to the discretion of your doctor. If you are required to remove your permanent jewelry, simply cut the jump ring and store everything including the jump ring in a zip-lock bag. We will gladly re-weld it on you for our $10 service fee at any of our future events. Just send us a message when you are ready to re-weld your piece back on.
  • What materials are used for charm bar jewelry?
    Our Charm Bar chains and charms are a mix of gold filled and gold plated. These necklaces and bracelets are not meant to be warn 24/7 and should be removed before working out, sleeping or getting wet.
  • Can I add more charms in the future?
    Of course! All of our charms are priced individually. Visit us at an event and add any new charms.
  • Do you accept returns?
    Due to the custom nature of our jewelry, we do not offer returns.
  • Are there "perks" for hosting an event?
    Each month we offer different perks for hosts. Some examples include a free jewelry piece, a shopping credit towards any jewelry piece, discounts and more! If you have questions about booking a private party email us at hello@heirloomjewelrybar.com!
  • Is there a guest minimum for private events?
    Weekends (Friday-Sunday) There is a 10 piece jewelry minimum for private events, not including rings. Weekdays there is a 6 piece jewelry minimum. Once your event date is confirmed as available, a $50 refundable deposit is required to secure your date. This deposit will either be refunded after the event or applied towards the hosts jewelry purchase. If the purchase minimum is not met at the event, the $50 deposit will not be refunded.
  • How can I make sure I'm prepared for my private event?
    It's always helpful if you have a table, two chairs and an outlet close by at events. However, we will confirm with you and can always bring our own table, chairs and portable power source if needed.
  • How long do private events generally last?
    We schedule a 2 hour time slot for private events. However, if discussed while scheduling, we will work with you based on the size of your event.
  • How far do you travel?
    We will travel within a 25 mile radius of downtown Grand Rapids, free of charge. If you live outside of that radius, we still travel to you but will discuss charges during scheduling.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We currently accept credit cards, venmo, and cash payments.
  • Do you have a store front?
    Heirloom Jewelry Bar is an online jewelry store with mobile jewelry experiences. You can find us at local pop-up events around Grand Rapids.
  • Do you ever offer sales or promotions?
    Yes! We offer sales and promotions throughout the year. If you want to stay up to date with current events and promotions, follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
  • What is your Warranty Policy?
    It is our goal to take care of our customers and create a lasting relationship with a jewelry brand you can trust. There may be times when mistakes occur, but we will work with you to resolve the issue. You can message us at hello@heirloomjewelrybar.com with any specific issues or concerns. However, our warranty does not cover broken/lost chains or broken beaded bracelets.
  • What is the suggest care for my new jewelry?
    We want your pieces to last just as much as you do. By following the below tips, you will help get the most out of every piece you purchase. Permanent Jewelry: -Avoid excessive exposure to perfumes, lotions, and chemicals. -Jewelry can be washed gently with warm water and diluted dish soap. -Sterling Silver chains will require more TLC. They will require being cleaned regularly and are more likely to tarnish if left wet, exposed to harsh chemicals and hormone types. Always try a jewelry cleaner and microfiber cloth to remove any discoloration. Charm Bar: -Allow perfumes and lotions to dry before wearing -Always remove jewelry before sleeping, sweating or submerging in water -Store in an air tight bag or closed box
  • What if I can't make it to an pop-up or don't want to host a private event?
